The Shooting Range is part of the new Deodoro Sports Complex in the Western Zone of Rio de Janeiro, built to host the 15th Pan-American Games – Rio 2007 (the landscape design did not come to fruition due, as always, to lack of money). Vazio S/A designed the squares and gardens of the Complex, which mixes two different scales: an 8-ha landscape of agricultural dimensions, curvilinear in fashion and planted with several kinds of grass; and an orthogonal, small-scale landscape with open “rooms” and little squares running along a ramp that connects Avenida Brasil to the shooting installations. .
