The photos of the residential building ‘285 Montevideo’ and the garden ‘Architectural Grafts’ shown below (both very different from each other!) are the models that we have been exhibited during the 8th São Paulo Architectural Biennial. The exhibit is on show until December 6.

Vazio S/A Arquitetura e Urbanismo é um estúdio que combina prática e pesquisa. À visão de uma prática de escritório convencional (casas, edifÃcios comerciais, etc) está associada a experimentação através de pesquisas, concursos de arquitetura, publicações, parcerias com grupos sociais e artÃsticos, e intervenções urbanas efêmeras que discutem relações entre a cultura contemporânea e a arquitetura.
Vazio S/A mixes practice and research. Ours is a position both active (we ourselves as clients) and passive (designing for the private and the public sector): a vision where informality, urban voids, and the market itself can work as triggers of new projects and opportunities. To conventional commissions (houses, commercial buildings, etc) we associated experimentation through researches, architectural contests, partnerships with artists and social groups, publications, and ephemeral urban interventions that investigate relations between contemporary culture and architecture. www.vazio.com.br
